Ed Richardson was the interim Alabamasuperintendent of education.
Richardson is well-known for his bold, matter-of-fact declarations on public education in Alabama.
Richardson was appointed to this position by the Alabama board of education on September 14, 2017, following the resignation of Michael Sentance. He served until May 2018.
Richardson previously served as superintendent from 1995 until 2004.[1][2]
Biography
A native of Alabama, Richardson's career in education started when he became a teacher in the Montgomery school system and includes time spent as an assistant principal, principal, and district superintendent.
Richardson also served as the president of Auburn University between 2004 and 2007.
